Scope and Estimate

Once I understand your project, I’ll review any submitted materials — such as source code, documentation, or other relevant files. The consultation typically includes:

Review & Estimation: Analyzing the implementation in question and the codebase to assess its quality, structure, and potential issues.

Research: Digging into engine-specific details, like Source engine intricacies, low-level modding, and even server binaries when needed, to give you practical, efficient solutions for your project.

Design: Taking a look at your mod’s concept and structure, offering suggestions, improvements, or better ways to go about things, and pointing out any potential future issues you might not have thought of yet.

Technical Design (Development): Offering guidance on code implementation and system development with a focus on optimization. I can provide small code snippets or examples from my own work to help clarify concepts or illustrate better approaches.

Documentation (Optional): Providing documentation to help you better understand the work done. This includes clear explanations for future maintenance, updates, and expansion. Well-documented work makes it easier for you or other developers to understand and improve upon it later.

Testing and Troubleshooting: Assisting with testing and troubleshooting during the development process.

Architecture (Guidance): Providing recommendations on how to structure your code for scalability and maintainability. This includes advice on naming conventions, organization, and best practices to ensure your code remains clear, flexible, and manageable as it grows.

Communication: Ongoing discussions to ensure we’re aligned and making adjustments as needed.

  • I can develop for any game engine, including modern engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot, as well as older engines like Source 1 and GoldSrc. This also includes proprietary and custom game engines.

  • My rates are structured as fixed fees for 1-hour or 8-hour consultation sessions. This ensures transparency and reflects the time spent on reviewing, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and other steps outlined in my consultation process.

    Each session is priced as a fixed amount, agreed upon in advance.

  • Everything outlined in my consultation process: reviewing code, providing technical guidance, offering design recommendations, assisting with troubleshooting, and providing potential solutions for unforeseen challenges.

    I don’t charge hourly — all prices are fixed and transparent.

  • Consultation typically begin right after payment, unless you'd prefer to schedule it for another day—I’m flexible.
