This is a game mechanic that I made for my game servers in the past. It allows boomers to explode by pressing the RELOAD button and splatter the survivors if close enough. It's a simple mechanic but turned out to be very useful if you have the mod that allows Special Infected ghosts to fly because players would fly at the survivors, spawn mid-air, and then blow themselves up almost like a cannon!
